Here we are: 18 post-doctoral fellows from 10 different countries, working in Dutch universities in Groningen, Eindhoven and Leiden and funded by the European Union. We work in a wide variety of disciplines, spanning from astrophysics over synthetic & computational chemistry to molecular biology, but are all united by a common goal: to understand how life emerged and how it evolves.
We have been recruited over the past year and have started now to have common activities such as seminars and workshops. Apart from scientific research & exchange, we also have training in professional skills and work in several committees with specific tasks: communicating about us and our activities, cross-networking with other origins-of-life initiatives, organising training & events and promoting interdisciplinary research. In addition, our two oLife ambassadors will be happy to represent us at networking and outreach events. A tough but rich programme awaits us, which we are very excited to embrace!
In this blog we will give regular updates of our activities and discuss topics related to origin-of-life studies. Don’t miss also our Twitter and LinkedIn channels for the latest announcements!
